Our LOGO

For about 10,000 years the heart has been considered one of the most important organs of our body. It has always been linked to the most important emotion of our existence, which is love. The heart is aware of all emotions even if it’s positive or negative. For instance, when the person in love sees the person who causes him this feeling, the heart begins to beat rapidly. SO for this reason we have chosen this logo because the main meaning of the heart is love.

On the other hand, Cupid is a god who would shoot people with arrows to make them fall in love, so we used it as a metaphor that it’s not a real love or it's not a love that we really want. In fact, Cupid is represented with a blindfold, symbolizing that abuse is often confused with love.

Otherwise, the red flowers give life and energy, representing that it is a healthy heart, but when its stem is wrapped around the heart, it symbolizes venom and it prevents it from beating. Therefore, the message that we leave is: Let your heart beat.

Our NAME

Heart beat arose because we wanted to focus on saving and encourage victims to call and ask for help. That is why we chose this name. It has a double meaning. On the one hand it refers to the heartbeat. It is what keeps us alive and without it we could not live. The heartbeat is extremely important to the human body, as it is the mechanism that propels blood through the circulatory system, supplying oxygen and nutrients to the body's tissues. On the other hand, the victims who suffer gender violence have a beaten heart. They face blows and threats on a daily basis and the aggressor has all the power over the victim. We want the people who suffer gender violence to call and that the heartbeats sound louder than ever.
